Mussa is an accomplished legal professional with a distinguished career in advancing justice and institutional reform. He is currently serving as the President of the Supreme Court of Afar Regional State, where he provides leadership in strengthening the judiciary, promoting the rule of law, and safeguarding human rights. His areas of expertise span judicial leadership, institutional reform, legal research, curriculum development, and strategic program planning and execution.
Beyond his judicial responsibilities, Mussa has played an active role in community legal empowerment and awareness initiatives, donor coordination, and grant management, as well as policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement. He has worked closely with diverse partners to design and implement programs that expand access to justice and foster inclusive governance.
Mussa also serves as a Board Member of the Afar Intellectuals Association, where he contributes to knowledge sharing, research, and community development efforts aimed at empowering underprivileged groups and driving sustainable social change.
