About The AFIA

The Afar Intellectuals Association (AFIA) is a nationally registered professional association founded in 2020 in Samara, Afar Regional State, Ethiopia. We are a dedicated group of young scholars united by a shared passion for empowering underprivileged communities and driving inclusive, sustainable development across the region. We serve as a vital bridge, connecting donor communities with impoverished groups to tackle critical developmental challenges, including illiteracy, malnutrition, environmental degradation, lack of peace, and unemployment.
