Dawud Mohammed is the Executive Director of the Afar Intellectuals Association (AFIA). He is an experienced development professional and researcher with a strong background in program management, peacebuilding, and community engagement. Over the years, he has worked with organizations such as CARE Ethiopia, Save the Children, and the Center for International Private Enterprises (CIPE), leading projects that focus on youth empowerment, governance, and conflict analysis.
Alongside his role at AFIA, Dawud lectures at Samara University. He holds MSc in Implementation and Management of Development Projects from the University of Manchester, UK, and MBA from Andhra University, India. A Chevening Scholar and Mandela Washington Fellow, he has also published widely on governance, migration, and conflict in Ethiopia.
